Severin
Severin
The good ones are always the first to go
His reserved and dignified manner
Struck me as a man of strength and integrity
Of which I strive to be
His departure is sudden and his smile is a window into my soul
Empty, void , of sorrow
Spirit open your gates
Embrace him with the wings of your grace
Poised and present was he always
His silent lips calmed the tempest
With mere words of righteousness
He stayed neutral
And made sure I felt seen and noticed
You’re beautiful , he said
His arms drew me close
As a father’s love would
No judgment on his part
Just rest my burdens on his chest
If but only for a moment I’d smile
And secure the treasure of his warmth
Would he know his job was done
