Seven Shades of Green

When I am this close, I see that there are layers in your eyes, seven shades of green when the light collides with and separates the freckles of color within. I see: roads that lead to the sea, to the edges of jungles and a million scattered leaves, ladybugs flying past your cornea, and an iris that resembles a moonflower, branches upon branches that extend a lonely stretch of highway, and landscapes never traveled anymore, but there are rivers that flow southward into solitary hearts like mine that beat the brightest shade of red when held in the vines of your embrace.

There are more greens than seven shades / just look at field of grassy blades / and in the trees of many hues / greens so light they're almost blues / greens so dark they're almost black / it's almost like Holi attack / and thankfully there's hues galore / though for me, I'd wish for more.

:-) This is so lovely...to see past the soul and into someone's eyes and feel so much enough to move you to write these lines...you are blessed!

Great expressions. I guess this one agrees with the philosophy that the eyes are windows to the soul.
