Written: February 05, 2024 _____________________________________________ On twilit roads as dusk falls, from rivers to towers and walls, when lilting rhythms call, a gleaming steed sailed. on pearl-grey pinions, and held, as the aroma of willow draws. tumble toward the ground. through warm beams. and anodyne smell.   Under the mast of a rusting ship, over a dazzling web of water and light, I'm excited to charter out of the bay, In a silver chariot, on chrysolite mirrors and carried, where cinnabar vapor entices, float gently to the ground, with cheerful smiles, and sensual breath, bright polish—sun fell, busters grab and break boards. And tempests rumble and thunder, In an iron chariot, ferried, on clods of lava, and carried, where cinnabar vapor beguiles, swinging unpretentious, with savage smiles, and smoldering breath.

This is beyond impeccable! I absolutely loved reading your creative wordplay throughout dr sotto! So clever and profound and i must quote especially “ In a silver chariot, on chrysolite mirrors and carried, where cinnabar vapor entices, float gently to the ground,” the way you phrase things is always awe inspiring and so captivating leaving readers appreciating every word you weave! The flow of your words too is seamless! I especially loved the ending too. Your use of alliterations on point!

What use of words ! Some usages I am seeing for the first time like 'chrysolite mirrors', 'cinnabar vapors'. You are indeed a wordsmith.... ! "when lilting rhythms call, a gleaming steed sailed. on pearl-grey pinions, and held, as the aroma of willow draws. tumble toward the ground."..... Wow....You take your readers through a mystical journey. Beautiful poem, dear Lasaad.

The ocean, forbidding and charming, takes us through unknown waves to foreign shore. This poem was delightful. I liked the colorful descriptions.

This will sound like an echo after you read Sara's comment. We do seem to see many of the same things in poems, having been an English teacher, she just has a stronger vocabulary than me. "Under the mast of a rusting ship, over a dazzling web of water and light, I'm excited to charter out of the bay", was the highlight of the poem for me. Your descriptive words are enjoyable to read. Write On, my dear friend! Bill

your poem is filled with such unique, truly enchanting imagery...I felt like I was journeying through a mystical world...each verse took me someplace different. What a wonderful experience! I liked so many words and lines I'm having difficulty pinpointing just one. This one, though, is probably my favorite: Under the mast of a rusting ship, over a dazzling web of water and light, I'm excited to charter out of the bay, In a silver chariot." Enchanting words, your poetess friend in Texas, Sara
