Sequence-Memories

Inkwells in desks with lift-uplids Tables written out with old pen nibs Noses pressed flat on the window glass our pockets tinkling ,full of brass Exploring fields across the brook studying in nature's real time book Fishing for minnows with jar and net oftimes slipping and getting wet Winding brooklets filling narrow streams into rivers of childhood dreams

You've taken us back in time to the magic of childhood. So beautiful, so nostalgic. The littlest things always magnified in the eyes of youth. And those memories, like yesterday, remain clear as day, as a private treasure chest of pure joy. Love, Shar

This goes into my favorites!! Such wonderful days were those...seems then it was more innocent to be a child, to dream of fishing, of playing, of climbing trees.....not of computer games, remote controls! Children today, are missing out on things so wonderful that they may never know. ps....we still have one of those old lift-up lid desks....an old antique that holds the inkwell. I keep it in the corner of our study, the grandchildren love to draw there. ~Love, Carrie
