September Greetings
Good morning September.
It's 7:07 AM, and I'm feeling fine.
I think of you like a family member.
I would never say of you, "Return to sender".
There is so much about you for me to ponder.
You unveil myriads of delights to remember.
You remind me every year that most of the high
Rising mercury is behind me, and a 'cool down' is in progress.
Even the mentioning of your name brings a sense of pause,
The feel of a soothing touch, a taste most mild and tender.
It's obvious that something is amiss with our planet; that she
Is being used and abused. However, it is not the fault of
Mankind in general and certainly no fault of yours*.
September, your annual arrival engenders calm, poise, and peace to me.
Oh, my dear friend, I was a September baby, and now I am a September Man. I clearly understand that I stand between the 'Oven of summer and the Freezer Of winter', all because of you, September. That's it for now my friend. I simply wanted to be among the first to greet and welcome you to 2021. I wanted to express my deepest appreciation, and remind you that you are so deeply Loved by me and so many others.
