Sensing the Sea

dark skies overhead
the tide rolling in
sand dunes and sea grass
nimbus moving near
distant lightning bolts


wind in my hair
a sudden chill
sand under foot
anxiety

thunder's roar
gulls squawking
waves crashing

the sea
fresh air

salt
