Sensation

It crawls upon cold paws
To clutch with talons and claws
Nearing its prey, it hunts
With opening eyes and jaws

To shove with power and thrust
Upon insatiable desire and lust
It thrashes again and throws
Ardor so unjust

It bursts in colors of mist
In crimson hue and amethyst
Its forces like fireworks rise
Within emotion, organs, and amidst

In body it lies, in surreal disguise
Leaving no chance for mind to coexist

Terrific poem Farah, the meeting of two. They are either worlds apart. Hunter and prey, or the passion of two. Have a lovely weekend....:)

beautiful composition of vocab. loved the idea, and the visual effect it gave me. I thought of a lion and a zebra. yet there is a deeper meaning towards it's direct effect. i'm guessing brutality of humanity?

....Yet, I am not exactly sure what the true subject/object of the write is? Smile, but I know that "You" do, don't You dear young lady....Perhaps "You" can enlighten me someday?! But I do not do soup mail~So if so you'll have to hit an old post? Yet I am pressed fpr time as of now! So I shall have to view "Your" other write tomorrow! And yet, it was so very good to here from "Your Amazing Talented Self" the other day~"Thank You!!!"~And until manana, "My Love To You & Your Loves, John!!:) Bye~

Smile~"Your" wonderful opening stanza paints this as a very creative metaphor I do believe!?~"Hello Precious & Talented Young Farah Chamma!!!":):)~I hope that life is treating "You & Your Family" splendidly dear lady!!!?~I have read this three times~And I see the prey of the talon; worship/admiration? of the Ardor; the purple jewel of the amethyst....And something perhaps unjust/ unfair? Which possibly filters into the mind, that self may not be able to completely exist?....Cont....

This doesn't make me think of animals at all, but the title, literally. this is the feeling of sensation. take your pick, any sensation is felt this way, grabing hold. excellent young one, love, and light, Kristin

such goes the continuing inner battle;mind over matter/matter over mind....we are, afterall, sensual creatures, and yet, lack the discipline neccesary to ascend to that higher state of mind....it's like a cruel form of tug of war,as matter, mocks us in it's controlling force,as we unwittingly play along, and fall deeper into it's clutches........very nice Farah,an artful metaphor which decrees your sense of understanding to free yourself from this spirirtual war we're all involved in....always , jay

Wow. A little too vivid for me, this imagery. Of course, which is only testament to excellent poetry. I cannot even bear to watch those nature shows as in Fred's comment, but such is the natural order of life I suppose. Love, Shar

Reading this makes me think I'm watching my favorite TV show 'Animal World'. A lion slowly and stealthily crouching as it slowly and silently approaches its unsuspecting prey. Nice descriptive work, young Farah. Regards, FRiEnD
