Selfish Thoughts
Selfish thoughts of a teenage lover.
You were mine, and I was yours.
At least I thought that behind closed doors.
I dreamt of you and what it’d be like
If my thoughts were real.
Why can’t you see that
You and I are meant to be
We never fight
I was broken before I met you
Shattered to pieces
I never thought I could be mended.
But you,
You thought I could be more.
Now I’m not so sure
Was I wrong about us…
Selfish thoughts I can’t escape…
Is this is something great?
