Self-Fulfilling Hypocrisy

In making seem true what is pretended to be, hypocrisy can be unpretentious in fulfilling itself in ways grim and hideous. it is a mask that eats into the skin and flesh, so quietly gnaws at the bones and sinews of the wearer's face.
