Self-Esteem
I look in the mirror,
What do I see?
A distorted figure looking
Back at me...
I see all the tissue and I pull on my skin,
And reminisced on when I was thin,
I see the jiggles and double chin,
So in order to hide it, I choose to grin,
I don't like what I see, in the mirror
Made of glass,
I turn to the side and check out my ass..
I suck in my stomach, and push it flat,
Oh how I wish it could just stay like that..
I ask my loved ones numerous times
In one day, if I've gained weight..
I wish that I could just be confident in
My skin... The way others are, whether thick or thin..
I dream of a day when I can look at my reflection, like all that I see, instead of imperfection...
