My mother used to say, "Put some gratitude in your attitude" I keep a gratitude journal, but I am guilty for forgetting to write in it. Your poem resonates with me, it is beautiful and important.

Hi Marikate! Happy New Year! So wonderful to hear from you. I like your mom's saying. Keeping a gratitude journal is a wonderful thing! Every night before I go to sleep, I thank God for at least one thing from the day even if it has been a lousy day! I am so glad you resonated with this little poem. Thank you for your feedback. Gives my day an added lift! Blessings joy to you for the new year!

You are so right Anil! Gratitude does plant seeds that mature into a sense of thanksgiving that shines through everything we do and to everyone we meet allowing to see God in a new way and appreciate the efforts - smiles - of those around us! Thank you for your wisdom and your lovely message. Blessings of gratitude to you!

Spreading seeds of gratitude can never be enough to thank GOD - our creator and protector, but we must never forget that he has also given us the gift of logic to know why and for what reason we spread these seeds of gratitude, thought provoking poetry here, certainly going into my faves, hugs my friend and blessings, Jennifer

Many thanks coming your way Jennifer especially for the fav! You are so right - we have choices. God has given us the gift, or challenge, of choice. We can choose to look around and find blessings or we can choose to see nothing but darkness. At night before going to sleep I try to find at least one thing to thank God for before going to sleep even if it has been one of those days! It always changes my perspective! I guess that is the true gift of gratitude! Sending you blessings!
