Second Thoughts
I woke up with a headache
And the sun in my eyes
Your back was turned to me
And I suddenly realised
That I was someone else
And I had been for years
I'm playing the perfect part
In a movie premiere
I ran out on the landing
Jumped the flight of stairs
No time to brush my teeth
No time to say my prayers
I hit the pavement running
With the sun in my eyes
You might've seen me turn the corner
But I was soon out of sight
You were still there sleeping
With your head in the quilt
I was back minutes later
With the paper and the milk
