SEASONS - WINTER
This is a poem request on my Instagram page (Daisy Meadows) where I show my first book published. Little Daisy Poetry by Daisy Meadows.
WINTER
There's a chill in the air,
And a blanket of pure white snow,
I look out of my window,
It always makes my heart glow.
A cosy night later, by the fire,
Mug of hot chocolate, warming my hand,
With chocolate sprinkles on top.
Taking in the view of the land.
Fascinated, reading the latest book,
Of the wintery tales,
Sure have me hooked!
Turning the pages,
As the story unfolds,
A canvas of white and a frost in the air,
The tale of winter is told.
Wrapped in my cosy jumper,
To keep me snug and warm,
I take a peep outside, as I open the door,
On this beautiful winter morn.
I run around in a circle,
Leaving my footprints behind.
Crispy, crunching, sounds underfoot,
Then I quickly run back inside.
Winter girl - absolutely!!!
