Seaside Winter Wonderland
The seascape, lies beneath a blanket of white.
From dunes to where waves touch the sand.
The scene is hazy in the day's gray light.
Creating a rare seaside winter wonderland.
Snowflakes so fine swirl in the air.
Before they fall to the ground.
Guesting winds toss them here and there.
They finally land not making a sound.
The wind causes drifting along the fence.
It is clinging to every window and door.
This predicted shortlived storm, is intense.
Mounting inches of snow, expecting more.
Wind is coming from the bayside,
pushing across the land to the sea.
Leaving an island with no place to hide,
The frigid winter wind, blows wild and free.
