Searching Through the Maze

"what is this strange place, we find ourselves in trapped in the open, we are free within" We are strangers in this maze called universe Knowing neither its length, breadth nor depth We are, at the time, trapped on this planet earth, Trying desperately, feverishly to escape its curse And finding we explore only a confining grave, We wonder aimlessly among the stellar skies Searching for an inhabitable planet for the future, While we slowly destroy what we will not save Continually junking up our maze here and now We discover we are junking up space we explore, And while we search for an acceptable way out It is time we accept our ignorance of the how -- Again, and over again, we repeat our histories, Wander in a maze of possibilities, sharing stories.

Deep musings, Milton. We would all do well to reflect on your words before mankind slips into the dark abyss. Congrats on your win

Thanks, Andrea. I sort of squeaked in there, but it's okay.

Well, that definitely conveys the trapped in the open idea, I like that, unable to escape to the infinite, trapped with our trash/debris/mistakes? The implied freedom comes by not repeating past mistakes. Good stuff.
