Searching For a Prince

I've been searching for a fairytale prince...

                           SOMEONE
                     honest, witty, kind
                 the man I see in my mind
                       is so hard to find

     He may be looking for someone to love...

                        SOMEWHERE
                     searching he may be
                  when will he ever find me
                      what a bold query

        We could meet somewhere and at any time...

                            SOME DAY
                        i fear it's too late
                  no prince is to be my mate
                        no reason to wait

   My search for that some day, has reached its end...

                             SOMEHOW
                       it matters no more
                    princes only live in lore
                       behind castle doors

so true, they only live in LORE. I like that last one a lot. Just remember: you have to kiss a lot of toads to find your prince!!!

When we our heart liberate and leave it roam free out of the gates of the castle then our prince or princess we will find! Finding the one we are looking for is quest of gigantic proportions BUT first we ourselves have to prepare and this is this is a Herculean task! A well constructed and delightful poem full of sentiment and meaning, dear Lin!

Thank you for your kind comments and wise words. If a prince comes riding along he'll have to be riding a white steed...I'd be torn between choosing the man or his horse.

So sad Lin never give up, when you least expect it you will have a frog croaking at your door waiting for that loving kiss that will transform him into a prince. this made me sad because you are such a wonderful woman with wit charm and a loving heart. aww Michael, how very sweet and considerate of you, but please don't be sad. I'd rather be on my own than to have stayed in an abusive relationship. God has smiled on me because I'm content. Thanks, Keng. I thought I'd found my prince, but he turned out to be the Black Knight. I'm staying away from castles before I end up in the moat. I appreciate your reading this one and your sweet comments.
