He is all that: a stranger
to himself.
a stranger, searching for a friend
In him there is such sadness
In his smiles his eyes never light
That is how he is
My stretching hand meets resistance
plastered over his handsome face
A smile is only outside,
it can be taught
it can be learned
Real smiles only live inside
in the heart of hearts
the very soul
People, so unkind, their words
flowing like a river of judgment
walking oblivious over his open
for everyone to see inside
They do not turn, they walk on
His silent face reflects only
hurt in his eyes, his smile remains
Even if I cannot be with him anymore
Even if I cannot do that
Cannot bear to do that anymore
I will be in his life, how could
I leave him, we're dedicated
Strangers and we love.
