Searching

Twenty Thousand Years Ago

They travelled low above the trees
in search of signs of life
Crossing snow capped mountain peaks
and valleys through the night
Then turning south
towards desert sands
The Sahara looms ahead
no signs of life are anywhere
yes, everything looks dead
Now moving up above the clouds
their search yet just begun
They'll seek another place for life
somewhere beyond the sun.
