Scorching

Let the fire burn, scorching; Let the intensity flourish, Let yourself come undone; Feel your heart beat again; I can color the stars in your eyes, drink paradise; Such a small taste leaves me hungry for another moment, another spark; Cinders that invade me they ignite the floor; I am enveloped, charred; The smoke led me straight to you; What’s it like to succumb to a muse? I’m dying to touch that truth; Under my skin like a wildfire; Slowly speeding up, then aching to a crawl; tip my chin up, I freeze Your everything has brought me to my knees. So I am left to burn faster, harder Scorching.
