Der Abend, eine verglühende Asche, eingebettet in meinen Gedanken, eine Musik. Die grüne Welt hat einen fröhlichen Klang. Die Sonne, die silbernen Sterne. Lieder von Vögeln, Spiel des Windes. Die Erinnerung, ein schöner Sommertag, wie Mohnblumen, Gesichter im Nebel, der Sonnenuntergang. ----------------------------------------------- Voices of the earth, mirror of the world, like songs in the wind, a dance. Evening, glowing ashes, embedded in my thoughts, a music. A green world has a joyful sound. The sun, the silver stars. Songs of the birds, game of the wind, Remembrance, a beautiful summer day, like poppies, faces in the fog, the sunset.

Very descriptive write in this one...The scene comes alive with the reading of your words...Keep the creative pen flowing...Thanks for the comments on my poem about mother and the motion...She got kinda cubbie along about her late fifties and early sixties and when she would be stirring those different pots and recipes together she had the motion...Sara

"Poppies, faces in the fog" is a beautiful image, Gert. Truly many lovely sounds and signs of summer grace this write. Are these two different dialects of German above the English version? I see some German words in both. It's nice to share a Polish ancestry with such a talented poet. I'm adding you to my favorite poets, Gert, and appreciate not only your talent but also your friendship. Love, Carolyn
