Scene On a Road In Winter

An old man in a Frosty the Snowman hat is driving a beat-up Ford truck. A woman beside him, scarf wrapped round her neck, gazes at him, touches his face, then scoots closer, head on his shoulder. Seeing this, I count them as rich.

Lucky them :) I love these kinds of poems that celebrate the richness of life in the simplest of things :) A picture or painting would even go well with this :)

This is cute Andrea. My husband used to sratch on the seat until I move dcloser to him. Brought back memories. My Nathan poem was written for a friend by request to give to her friend who lost her Nathan. The poem was read at his funeral by his Sergeant. Love, Joyce

Oh yes, what a delightful sight to see an elderly couple expressing affection this way. Neighbors here in Ormond Beach say my Dad and Stepmom were such a couple, walking hand-in-hand every afternoon. Rich indeed! Very inspiring, filled with hope for love in our golden years. Love, Carolyn

Andrea, just well to do. If they were rich the truck would be a Chevy. Well written; eloquent and a bit haunting. Thank you for your kind words. They mean more to me than you know. Love Always, Will
