Saying Goodbye
The rain coming down
goose bumps rising on our arms.
You gaze into my eyes
for the last time tonight.
With no where to go,
I kiss you one final time
whisper I love you, then turn to leave.
I take a few steps,
turn back to see you again.
I call out your name to turn you around.
With tears streaming down your face
you slowly turn back to me.
I can't hold myself back
I run into your arms begging
you not to leave me.
You promise you'll never leave.
So we say goodbye
this one last time.
and take our parting ways.
