Savage Angel

Old feathers

ancient eyes

new lips

romantic face

handsome heart,

your dry sorrow

his healing palms,

large love

kisses of cream

rose pocket

deep touch

passionate pull,

He comes for your heart...

a soul plucker

hunts light

stalks beauty

cries caress

blood beast

prays mutely,

song stays

weaponized wisdom

sensitive wrong

God groans -

The pull of opposites is a powerful force. No wonder angels fall.

Life and spirit are always pursuing compatibility...Angels do not fall or surrender, they battle to love. Thanks for studying this poem my friend. J.A.B.

No wonder God groans, this seems to be a naughty angel who likes to play the alluring and enticing role.Somehow I can see this angel as a human trapped in a dilhema between right and wrong, heart and soul.Pls God,do not groan ,this ancient angel.is only human. There.is so mucg for the reader to chew on between.the lines.I love it Justin.

Nicely done Justin, I feel deep emotions at large. Two different vibes, from this poem. A soulful melody lost, for the time being. Everything wrong, yet so right. The beauty of the night, brings more to light in this poem. I like the blood beast feeling running free, throughout. Awesomely done, Always..Linda

This Angel, a pariah in lust, yearning to elevate soul through forbidden touch, inexplicable trust, at odds with God's instructions. Craving to seize love, to heal without permission. A rebel, free yet hungry. You understand the struggle. Your intuition is sweet and sharp my lovely Linda...J.A.B.

Each aspect of one completes the other. As watchful and true as God is, would He rather watch or intervene? He seems to be interwoven in this bond... a poem of new and ancient magnificence fused together. Wild write, Justin. Always,Laura

Yes Laura, yes! This is a wild write indeed, I'm thrilled that you see the staples of sensuous and spiritual behavior that seems to conflict with righteousness. Your question about God's stance is powerful. I just love how you read and feel my work Laura...J.A.B.

each line makes me think, as you interweave of active verbs and active nouns..it delivers a double meaning impact to the reader.. :) and the ending is magnanimously perfect.. :)!! i like how you choose the word groan than any other..as groan for is a word in between of love and longing.. :)!!!!

Beautiful, Justin. The concept of the hunted and the prey is beautiful....I love the fierceness of such a love....a love that doesn't give up...a love that is sure of conquering. It is a beautiful song you have sung today...
