Leave me alone in my grief,
let me lock myself away.
Soothing words, they give no relief
because cancer it was a cruel thief,
there is nothing more you can say.
I want to be left on my own,
where my silent tears can fall.
Since he passed I feel so alone
my pillow smells of his cologne,
I just miss my late husband Paul.
