Satiated Within Thoughts

beneath the dahlia rise
splashed across morning skies
i lose myself in this thick air
and rumination of mind
where thoughts of you linger

i can feel this moist air
as it breathes heavy
upon me
like a windless breath
beneath a caress
from lover's lips
in passion's heat

i wring myself
among these drops
beaded as they fall
across bare skin
before the climax
of memories
break with day

the blue depths
of cloudless skies
does not compare
to the voids within
my longing

i yearn for you
more so than this day
yet momentarily
am satiated
in memories
that blush me
like morning's rise
