Sarah Princess
Sarah ~ Princess
Sarah, princess,
A promise wakes your mornings,
From your cradle
You look into the sunlight –
Eyes filled with wonder
And all the hope of dawn -
For you rejoice
In every color of the rainbow,
The covenant,
Shining through each storm
Made of rain and sunlight.
Sarah, princess,
When sunsets meet the daylight
Tiny hands reach out
For moonbeams,
For a fragile dream -
Of children unimagined
More numerous than stars -
In lullabies that swaddle you
Planting songs
For your soul to sing
Like cooing doves - vespers in the twilight.
Sarah, princess,
Hidden in your heart the wonders
And the promise that grows each day
When your first steps run
To catch them in the wind –
Playing tag with rainbows
Leaving their shadows
In the desert –
Crowning days to come
With Heaven’s prophecy -
A dream, like your name, borning in your infancy.
