Sapphic

Holding Adonis In another place and another lifetime, gazing into eyes that gazed back with passion. Kissing you, loving you and how you touched me. Summer’s moon watched us. Are you in the world, my sweet lover? Are you? Have you gone the way of the gods before you? Blessed was I to hold you so closely. I was holding Adonis. I TOLD YOU TO STOP WRITING ABOUT ME w/o my permission!!!~ :) ha! I hardly remember this story taking place!~ I musta been hit over the head with a golf NINE IRON. YES! U are correct that a NINE Is golf club used for short shots often in the rough stuff! NOT really the detailed description you gave...but STILL CORRECT! ......Allllllmost....tho' there is a nine iron club, and u may interpret my poem that way. I wrote it about a chick I know that sleeps will a Nine Milometer Pistol! ...close:) ha!

Oh, Andrea, this is beautiful and so emotive. I especially loved the moon watching.... ummm... could be me, hon, but is the syllable count 11 for your third line? This deserves top spot, just want to ensure some wee thing doesn't get in the way of that. It's just after 11 here. Thunderstorm!!! This is weird for March! Girl could wake up any minute. Hoping to read and comment for a bit. You were my first drop by. So glad I read this! Spicey!!! :-) Cyndi

Wow, you tried and successfully completed this contest! I really enjoyed this write that you have completed for us to enjoy! I loved the way you formulated the lines on the this one, great job Andrea! Two lines in particular that I thought were done very well have to be, "Blessed was I to hold you closely. I was, holding Adonis" that is a fantastic two lines right there my friend! I love your write! Great Work!!

Lucky you! What am I saying? ... Lucky Adonis!!! Terrific write for this very challenging contest. I will come back and see how it does in the ranking. I am afraid this challenge is far too great for the likes of me. Joe
