Sanctuary: Be Safe In An Unsafe World. 2010.

watch the body count grow
when tiny tots near the t.v.
turn and ask you: "Why?!" ....
check your gun, pet your shepherd,
lock your doors and watch them sleep

There is so much danger in today's world that I am reluctant to watch the news. There are very few reports that are uplifting and most of it adds stress to our lives. I lock my doors, but will never buy a gun. Still, I can understand why you would feel compelled to do so. Very thought-provoking poem about the sanctuary you have created to protect your home and loved ones. Best wishes in the contest, Gerard. Love, Carolyn

Soup Mail me? what's crystal? and do you thinkthe verse is laughable (fretting) and you are NOT the underdog you are the superpup!
