Sanctuary

What is my sanctuary?
Well, of course, the library!

Endless words that raise my senses
Taking me through verbs and tenses.

Lovely people in magic lands
Welcoming me with friendly hands.

Yesterday’s events and predictions
With countless truths and contradictions.

Tomorrow’s vision of what might be
And all of today’s reality.

Forgetting my stress from today,
Letting my worries go astray.

Like me, you probably started carrying a book as soon as you learned to read. I'm an escapist, not to mention a word lover and to be without a book would be like going to work without shoes.
