Same Thing Will Expect

Same Thing Will Expect

For people to understand patience and endure
They will need much exposure to composure
Then like others may become all the merrier
Be quiet not blundering breaking sound barrier.

What if you were to die not now but other day
Being sure you had made up bed yesterday
So someone else can lay in clean bed last night
Now worrying about bed bugs that may bite.

Suppose your bed was never made up instead
And they did discover what you often did dread
You went to heaven forgetting to properly dress
Not only that left your whole room a big mess.

When you die be sure that devil you're hating
Room definitely clean and properly straighten
Or maybe I must be more specific and direct
God in His heaven the same thing will expect.

James Thomas Horn, Retired Veteran

After I had finally had found all of my futility,
I was humble and thanked God for His humility.

Another take on my Will Rogers style of poetry.
