Same Difference
At the edge of the sea
I see
Rows and aisles
On an isle of thornless rose
There lies
Their lies
That carries such a heavy weight
But wait
In their minds eye
I
Mine coal and ash
In a cold world
I whirl through apocalyptic peace
Piecing together the sun
Where sons roam
In Rome's debris
When allowed
Tales are read aloud to beaus
Recorded on papyrus
Sashed in a red bow
Rose petals thrown in air
Fall at the feet
Of heirs to the throne
Glass ceilings
Crack the sealing
Along stubborn tiers
Icy tears
Melt heart senses
Floating scents of witch's brews
Blush bruises
Run laps around memories
Time lapse into innocence.
