Saintly Curiosity
Rock of foundation,
precious cornerstone
Allow our sparkling tears
to ascend
unto Your heavenly sapphire ears
Hear the pleas of the lowly,
and arise O, Lord
to vanguard our righteous cause
As sheep to the slaughter,
we are carried
to the bloody iron blade crucible
Let not the guillotine of fate
take our souls away unrepentant
We yield to Your Messianic holiness,
our bodies we are willing to give
to glorify Your majestic name
We hazard our lives, jeopardize our souls
to follow wheresoever
the voice of our Holy Shepherd goes
But we ask ... not for lack of faith,
rather out of saintly curiosity:
How long, O Lord,
how long?
When will the rule of the wicked end,
how much longer will the kingdoms of iniquity reign?
O, my God,
Yours is an everlasting dominion
This we know, as we try to persuade others to believe;
in hopes that they might amend their evil ways,
so they too can be saved
None can keep Your eternal kingdom from being established
throughout the whole earth
New heaven ... new stars
Souls of imperfection given purity rebirth —
virgin soles treading upon a new earth
And the corrupting vestiges of man
will become as vanishing mist in the void
This shall be when, O Lord?
