Saint of Lust

Saint of Lust Release these chains of tortured deeds Along a sculpted veering hedge Upon this path where darkness feeds Of jagged cliff so near the edge For one false move, beware ahead Beneath the agony now shown Within these eyes and lips of red Sit heartless wishes winged and thrown So find from me a hand so born You maiden fair this summered breeze To greet thy heart within this storm Unshackle those in motioned ease To lie with me of feathered dreams And take of this, my soul can bare Your beauty comes of all it seems In flesh that I do long to share For of thy skin my mouth does long Aroused in pleasured flitting feast Rose petal soft, magnolia strong To sooth the yearnings of this beast O’er endless days to hold you near Pure love doth conquer moistened loins Melodic whispers call thy ear Eternally we shall be joined For I am called the Saint of Lust Come taste the flavor’s scented mist Young soul now lost, misguided trust As I partake your orphaned kiss As evening whets this appetite And shadows stand beyond the crest My kingdom beckons of thy sight O’ crowning jewel to quell my quest

Chris, this is more than simply beautiful, and there is so much I'd like to quote, that I would almost copy the entire poem... Don't you dare questioning your talent... 7 and fav.

Chris, this is brilliantly crafted and the last two stanzas are fun to read "O' crowning jewel" . . . one more conquest, on more notch on the belt:) Amitiés

Top of the Evening Chris. This is more than beautiful. I see and read attention to detail. Your words are well thought out. This is one of those entries that must be read out loud slowly with emphasis and with pauses between stanzas. I remember when you said you were in the process of composing this. Be very proud of the execution and outcome. You went beyond. Honestly.

P.S. I did change the title. Saint of Light didn't seem to fit this poem that well when I finished. :)

Ah, that's right I remember talking about this on your poem. Thanks so much Lisa for 1. remembering about this one and 2. for your always kind thoughts on my poetry. I did work on this one a bit longer than most but it is out of my normal realm, so it required more thought on my end. I am happy you noticed.

This poem is not subtle about the concept that sex can and often does rule the libido of man. We are all subject to our basic needs with hormone driven desires that may at time supersede love for lust and the raw pleasure of sex. Emile. #7

I do believe we are all intrigued by that saint of lust many times....At times He is as strong as the saint of love...One thin fine line that makes a difference...Carnal desires so well expressed..and more thoughts ...between the lines..Chris.

Thank you Charmaine. I just thought I'd get a little edgy and see if anyone liked it, I am so happy you did.
