His new bride he learned

You really seem to be hearing the meter! Hearing the limerick meter with its UP's and downs..and down, down UP's..is what FINALLY inabled me to HEAR iambic..go figure? I needed the sing songie-ness? I have a great book of limericks called Piggericks I highly sugest it! I hestitated to read your limerick as input #1 for so many are not using meter, what a pleasant surprise! [This one need a wee bit of polish on line 5 & using the ' to replace the g and shorten the sound is a VERY good plausible thing to do in a write not meant to take its content too seriously!] THANKS so much for what you said in my blog! Wish I'd read it before sleep I fretted all night!

Debbie, thank you so much!! :) I shall look for "Piggericks"...these were my first attempts...after *PD's dino contest(my first limerick) I decided to try them..."Unlucky Penny" was first and "A Pirate" was last... tweeking is always a good thing...lol...I meant all I said in your blog...life is short dear...we must choose our battles and carry on...wearing our big girl panties ;) Laughter is good medicine...I wish you much of it today...big huggsss,love debs
