(Intro) Oh - oh so divine Oh - oh that shine (Verse 1) Darkness chases like a shadow It's ever reaching from behind But deep within it lies a secret A beaming light that I can find In blackness lays the brightest rays A sea of suns so rare ... In darkest night are stars so bright I search my heart To find them there (Chorus) My shining starlight Always guiding me Yeah - yeah (Bridge) I swim in a sea of starlight And sail the ocean of suns (Verse 2) Set my compass to all wonders Chart my course to dreams afar Hear the billows as they thunder I'm guided by the light of stars (Chorus Out) My shining starlight Always guiding me Yeah - yeah My shining starlight Always guiding me Yeah - yeah ~ 9th Place ~ in the "Lyric Contest - Shining Starlight" Poetry Contest, Geraldine Taylor, Judge & Sponsor.

John - it was written for a contest and had to fit a prerecorded song by Geraldine Taylor ... I rarely write words for others' music, but I did the same for another contest, (Craig Cornish - I'm Always Right Here), and actually enjoyed the process! This is her song ... https://choon.co/artists/geraldinetaylor/
