Safe In My Memories

I sang with you in depths of dreams.
Our song took flight on rosy beams
of dawn and over clouds it flew.
In depths of dreams, I sang with you.

I called for you as dark clouds brewed. 
In memories, my strength renewed.
I drew you near and light shined through.
As dark clouds brewed, I called for you.

Long, long ago, you sheltered me
with music, love and carefree glee.
A happy girl in your shadow,
you sheltered me long, long ago.

My dad would have turned 100 last week on July 3rd. We called him the firecracker dad. Many happy memories of summertime with my dad.
