Sadness Under Anger

There is a lot of hocus pocus when The out-of-control-child is too upset to focus. Family struggles. Divorce. Grandma’s death. Mama’s leaving. Daddy’s anger. No food in the house. He is now as frenzied as a colony of angry locusts. And engages in loads and gobs of crazy hocus pocus. Trying to fool us with screens of smoke and mirrors, A wizard’s go-to-trick as he tries to joke us, Hoping to take his anger away from our focus So we will not unbury the abject fear he has That we will discover the wealth of sadness under the spontaneous out-of-control anger Which he uses to fling us loose from our ability to keep calm, listen to him and Truly focus on the problems he has been hiding from the world for a long time, So he will not be taken away from his only remaining parent. His family has let him know that things could be worse if he talks.

A sad truth for so many children; this is a very powerful piece of work. I can understand this, only with me, it was day care personnel; not family and I didn't talk. Terrified children is a fact that should never be.

But it is, and daily I am afraid.

Very poignant... and that last line- "His family has let him know that things could be worse if he talks"- wow.

You can only imagine where I am coming from, right?

Oh, that chilling last line - I have something in common with that (though not as serious as some of the issues here) - also love 'unbury the abject fear' - such a moving way to describe it-

Yes, they can figure out so many wonderful ways to "fool us" not realizing that their behaviors are giving them totally away.
