Sacrifice Your Light For Me
I will not ask you to sacrifice your light for me
as I am unworthy of its glorious glow
Instead...I ask you to hold my humble shadow close
to splay light upon its darkness
and allow me to see through the pains of my blindness
For you are the rising sun
You are the glowing brightness
I tremble as I feel the warming of my cold skin
I offer my lonely heart
I offer my empty hands
I offer my worn feet that have crossed the many miles
I offer my soul so you may lift me up
and lead me from darkness
