Sacramento Sun
Unlike the city out west where I reside,
Grass really is greener on the other side
Air conditioning is a must in the summer
Without it, the long hot summer is a bummer
Without it, you best pray for an early winter
No, it's not a necessity; it's a 'no brainer'
In a valley where it seldom snows and sometimes freezes,
We experience many cool summer nights from delta breezes
With a deserving reputation as ' The City of Trees',
We have lots of trees to keep us cool and shady
Sacramento is sometimes called The River City.
That’s because two major rivers run through it
Major airlines and railways; so board a plane or a train
Two major interstate highways also run through our city
You can go North and South by way of interstate 5
Or take I-80 East to Chicago if you really like to drive
I-80 West will take you clear to San Francisco without a rest
That’s where I came from before I made Sacramento my address
