S P A C E AND ME

S P A C E AND ME In the seas of seas swirling in my mind I find myself alone in an ocean of space Nothing but void surrounds me As far as my soul can see Can our life’s breath be the soul of it all? Existence, if we breathe we exist Extinction if we don’t Breathing is all there is, all else is just marking time Here, there, everywhere Nothing exists but my breath Mine being the only one Maybe the only one that matters In this universe of nothing but dissolute and devoid space. The dark between the emptiness of space More scarier than Man’s madness Dumber than men’s needs More demanding than men’s desires Expect more, infinitely more The dark may be dark But it has seen the light Inside men’s breasts His goodness always in constant fights with death He struggles within himself Fighting with his sacred brother, Evil They brawl to the end … hopefully, someday No one knows why but they continue the chaos ad infinitum As I struggle with my devils in dark space I swim toward the light in the deep dark Not seeing them but knowing they exist I swim and I swim hoping that at last with hope The light is there shining for me.
