Rusted and Busted Forgotten Old Friend
Facial expressions change
Obscenities silently uttered
Reliving growing pains
Goosebumps cause me to shudder
Outlaws back in the day
Together we made quite a pair
Two classics finding our way
Enslaved by time's cunning snare
Neither of us in control
Odometers disconnected
Losing value ever so slow
Disproportionately rejected
Funny how it all worked out
Realizing what has become
Indifference shadowed with doubts
Each, decayed by the sun
Nostalgia momentarily revealed
Destined to rot in a field
