Rusted and Busted Forgotten Old Friend

Facial expressions change Obscenities silently uttered Reliving growing pains Goosebumps cause me to shudder Outlaws back in the day Together we made quite a pair Two classics finding our way Enslaved by time's cunning snare Neither of us in control Odometers disconnected Losing value ever so slow Disproportionately rejected Funny how it all worked out Realizing what has become Indifference shadowed with doubts Each, decayed by the sun Nostalgia momentarily revealed Destined to rot in a field an original poem by Daniel Turner

Definitely reliving growing pains, is often what we do in thinking about places we've lived, things we've done, and even old cars we have owned. Loved this one !!! Well done!

Lines like "neither of us in control" "disproportionately rejected" knowing it is about a car but feeling like it is more there is a lot of hints of feeling with memories and history left only to rot in a field. grats on driving into my winners list.

Thank you my lovely Irish lass. I've been reading a little too. I'm a long way from 100% but it is good to be able to read and write a little. I'm glad you like my acrostic. Your visits always cheer me up!

wow, the last line is so powerful. Poor thing destined to rot in a field. Very well crafted, Daniel. Good luck in the contest.
