Rust
Can I ever love again your lips pressed against my ear
My soul begs, pleads with me, the heart yields no more tears
Should I gather unto me my hearing waits the matter
The pulse quickens at the touch, ice lifts and a shatter
Racing dreams ,like oil fields , drilled deep and hit the mark
Lingers, tarries, awaits me there I shift my heart to park
The embrace is warm, it pulls me forward and never was a doubt
Long the idle, engines cool ,never knew you had such clout
Arise the morn the birds a searching your hair lay cross my chest
I answered every question met but will I pass the test
Eye to eye and sweat on sweat you meet me and the thrust
Didn't know I had it in me , should've known it'd never rust
