Running On Fumes

When I go to buy gas,
My teeth I want to gnash,
And I curse 'neath my breath,
And want to choke the hose!
Save room at the poor house;
I am gonna need it!

Gas is awful high.
Four bucks a gallon!
A loan from the bank.
Might help somewhat to,
Fill my empty tank!

Those crude cartels,
Control each drop.
And what is worse,
They drain my purse!

Help Congress!
Off your duffs!
Ease my plight!

My car
Gasps for

Gas!

Yours has a really awesome ending! Congrats on your funny poem. (well, it's not really funny what we pay for gas, but you get my meaning)

Time we get gas powered bikes. I've been looking at them and am impressed. Another thing Bob, there a companies that aren't fromthe middle east we can buy from so boyfcotting could be a big voice if everyone was together on it. I sense some desperation in this one!

What a delightful write you have written my friend! I really enjoyed your description of the plight for gas that we all encounter seemingly every day! You wrote this poem so fluidly and making the lines easy to read! It's a pleasant write to read Bob! Outstanding poem! Great Work!!

I'm certain you're serious about this because you have mentioned this lightly before in another one of your poems HAHA so this solidifies your angst as genuine. 16 cents is an improvement but most definitely isn't a drastic drop to me, by the way. Didn't even notice it was a diminished hexaverse until I got to the bottom so you did an exceptionally good job keeping a natural flow. Good luck in the contest, Bob <3

Bob, if you have been to the pumps within the last three weeks, you'll see that the prices have dropped drastically. I have a feeling they won't stay there very long. Good example of a diminished hexaverse.
