Roy Halladay

He is a pitcher any Phillies fan would know. He is Roy Halladay, who came in a trade with Toronto. Yes he started his baseball career as a Blue Jay. Why did the Toronto front office trade him away? He made some history on the twenty-ninth of May. Roy took a huge step toward the Hall of Fame. Against the Florida Marlins, he pitched a perfect game. Throughout this game during last summer’s pennant chase, not one Florida Marlins batter reached first base. Roy accomplished something many would consider hard. There were twenty-seven batters retired on the score card. There was an even greater accomplishment he scored. Roy was the recipient of the Cy Young Award. A man presently at the top of his game, we will see his bronze plaque at the Hall of Fame.
