Roses Are Red

Roses are red and so is my heart.
Just like the flower it's a work of art.
And every time you need to depart
My heart begins to crack and fall apart

Praying, for the moment you will return,
my heart lying ill from the concern.
There's, only one way to cure this yearn,
it's your love, which makes this fire burn.

My heart, weeps a flood of blood-red tears. 
when, the presence of your love is not near.
And, it pumps joyfully when you appear.
For your love, I hold so deeply dear.

If, you were to leave my heart would explode.
Forever losing, the gifts you bestowed.
I, refuse to allow our love to corrode.
Leaving my soul, forever widowed.
