Roses and Lace

Time to snuggle with a spring bouquet of roses and lace.
Snuggle them to your beautiful, tranquil face.

Sipping some cool jasmine tea, with no regard for hours.
Nay, the world with its endless exhortations to grimness and
tearful showers.

A sorrow, shuts down a poet's soul.
It's time right now, to let all of it go.

Be in stillness with your God, who removes sadness.
Hence, comes sun, joy and unspeakable gladness!

Breathtaking words, phrases and rhyming, have given your poem a serenity which is almost tangible and a message which we should all take note of. Blessing Panagiota mou, Jennifer.

Panagiota, joy does come in the morning. You have created such a serene atmosphere with "cool jasmine tea,""snuggle with a spring bouquet," "roses and lace" - a true bower where the poet's spirit can abide with God. Thank you for this wonderful picture of a place to retreat.

Hello Sam~ wow~ such a poetic and thoughtful response!! I really thought that nobody would like this. As usual, I am so off! I favored the Romeo and Juliet, far more. See! I was so wrong. What I favor and what poets respond to, are two different issues. Thank you, Sam Panagiota xx
