Lo, the Roses which bloom in my garden, bright I tend them with love and care day and night These roses gladden me all through the day That my verse on roses, before you, gleefully I lay Amid stinging thorns and the cover of leafy green Their frilled beauty is sometimes veiled unseen But as the wind croons all day in their ear Their sweet fragrance wafts through morning air August.25.2022 ~Placed Third~ Eight Lines of Rhyme- Your Favorite Flower Poetry Contest Sponsor- Tania Kitchin

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, Valsa, especially roses, just let your eyes do the holding--nicely penned as always, and my best to you my friend, Aloha~William

I may never understand the attraction of roses, but they certainly bring joy to aphids! Roses are THE favourite food of mule and whitetail deer! Good luck in the contest! Aloha!

Most flowers are fragrant, but the rose is in additional attraction.
