Rose and Thorns

The

vigilant thorns stood guard

for

to protect the rose's innocence

while it

rewarded them with the scent

of

its divine aroma!

- I just read about the roses and thorns : "The rose was also without thorns until Eve picked a rose bud when she was sent out of the Garden of Eden - When Adam planted the remains of the rose, it came up surrounded by thorns as an eternal reminder of the banishment" - Whatever thorns ... they are beautiful and have heavenly aroma - A beautiful poem, my friend :) - hugs // Anne-Lise :)
