Room

Room I shall not go astray My paradise garden awaits It bares of plenty Autumn’s breath fills the air My spirit is young My soul is calm I harvest joy From wherever it comes A lively rainforest Of pelican, scarlet macaw and tucson The willow tree weeps and drowns in its sorrow The cascading waterfall Pours sweet honey A rose perfumes the place During dreary nights of gloom When my mind is wild and off tune Sweet, warm ginger and cinnamon Makes space and give me room The moon looks down winks and grins I get assurance Cactus pear and aloe Guard against thieves Their spiky blades make tongues bleed And leaves mouthes bitter in deed Marckincia Jean Free verse 06/25/19

Nice poem. I like the sights and scents of your paradise garden.
