"Romance in the Time of Crawling" We wait in hibernation for the great release into a 2nd coming maybe a 3rd, a 4th, a 5th it’s a joyful death the pain on entry where oceans break the certainty of all that is shore the harbour opens we sail forward through bloody waters into a new territory the washing machine cycle, load and dry the vacuuming of floor grounded, we are lustily put to bed lusciously all wrapt up in those hot little deaths stimulus to create something better of ourselves borne again it’s like looking into the eyes of a mirror for a little while the distant sound of seagulls waiting for their feed crying loudly to be fed milk and honey in the let down drawn back in through tiny sharp succubous lips adored little vampires that suck the life out of you like air to breathe you hold in your arms, you hold your breath for a little sleep, you no longer sleep you’d do it all over again romance in the time of crawling like an infant crossing the line learning to let go the lessons in the value of repeat no open casket viewing high 5 requiem me Lavendar street swimming again diving into the deep end with bathers at Balmoral ashes like snow falling into the ocean moving against your skin to live the dream again (LadyLabyrinth / 2023) dimensions.

breast feeding can be kind of sensual, once you get over the Succubus attacks. My take on life, birth, death and memories.

Reading your poem emphasized how I sometimes feel about kharma--that repetitiveness of our soul until we get it read. Unique poem and read. Sara

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Sara. The kharma cycle thing is interesting. I have written this poem from my own perspective and the contemplation recently (well, I have for quite some time), on where it all ends and begins).

Mortality enters a writer’s mind when people you hold close to you and have loved over a lifetime, from the beginning as a child to adult, irrespective of whether one has a smooth sailing or rocky relationship with them, pass over (die). I don’t like the use of the word die, because while we may die in a physical sense and it all seems final (for some), I believe our lives continue forward. I believe our lives are eternal not finate. I say pass over, because I believe in souls. And with souls there is no “death”; and that we all possess souls, or rather, they possess us (our higher selves, our lower selves). Some shut out their higher selves and have a terribly codependent relationship with their lower selves (they are more dark than light).

I believe souls are given a choice to return, to a lifetime of their own choosing (not delegated to them), and that there is a lesson to be learned and a message to be given in the lifetime they choose. Karma is about action and reaction and I believe we are ALL in ‘karmic’ cycles.

We are ALL Light and Dark. Does the karmic cycle end and we all reach Nirvana? We do for a little while (I think/feel), but surely, “a transcendent state in which there is neither suffering, desire, nor sense of self, to be exonerated or released from the effects of karma and the cycle of death and rebirth”, would not be a state that is easily achieved by the majority of souls, unless they were complete saints. Those with remaining ego are curious in nature, wanting to learn and experience more, not be floating in a completely brain dead numb state (a soul must have a brain, it thinks, it feels, be it higher self, or lower dimensional).

I think we possibly try Nirvana for a short while and decide it is too complacent and lazy an existence and we inevitably wish to learn and experience more, so perhaps I am closer on board with what the astral realms are all about, as Dolores Canon hints at in the below link. We are all vibrationary beings, so I believe in astral realms and vibrationary dimensions. Everyone has their own thoughts and opinions on where they go after death and what their purpose is here in this existence. But there are no succinct answers until we face that runnaway train at the cross road ourselves. I do believe in reincarnation.

Do I believe in Heaven and Hell? I believe, after death, we go where we believe we will go...but ultimately, I do believe we are in a karmic loop, and our actions and reactions to others (other souls) are all connected. We all meet those we love and have close relationships with again eventually, in one form or another. Of course, these alone, are my thoughts and obviously not religious in any way or form. Perhaps "spiritual".

My middle sister was born on my mother's birthday. The same day my maternal grandmother passed over, I learned that I had conceived my daughter. My daughter was born (many years later) on the same date that my mother passed over. My mother's sister (my aunt), passed over last Sunday, one day before my daughter's birthday and the date of my mother's passing over and two days before her own birthday (my aunt). I cannot avoid thinking about connection, reincarnation, karma. My mother's brother passed away on my father's birthday, my father had passed over that same year a few months prior. Perhaps there are people (souls, we love), waiting for us to escort us over...much to contemplate. This great mystery.

I can feel the transition eternal, repetitive only that we return, but no two reincarnations my sense are exactly alike -- Indeed, many great civilizations have come and gone -- our part of the themes of life are never ending, ourselves bony, fleshy, spiritual parcels of recyclable matrix inseparable. "swimming again diving into the deep end with bathers at Balmoral" -- a meditation.

Maybe we come back, because, when less burdened, free of dense physical nature, relieved of cumbersome lesser ego, manifests such a deep love and understanding of connection, that we see it as our duty to come back and give it another try -- I have heard that we choose our families ahead of time, determined by karma and sometimes a selfless mission accepted. Who knows? For me an appealing thought though.

hmmmm, perhaps we return until we get it right and then we're kicked up to the next level.
